Featuring South Shore tour attractions: Pali Lookout, Diamond Head Crater, Hanauma Bay and Makapuu Beach

Venture beyond Waikiki on this exciting Oahu south shore tour. You'll be picked up from your Waikiki hotel and head east towards Makapuu Point, Oahu's southeastern tip and an amazing lookout point. On a clear day you'll be able to see all the way to the neighbor island of Molokai and you'll see whales in season.

Then you're off to the nearby Halona Blowhole, an underwater lava tube that shoots water high into the air when waves flow into it. When the surf is up or during high tide that can be up to 50 feet!

From here you also have a great view of Sandy Beach, which is considered to be one of the most dangerous breaks on Oahu. The waves here are especially strong and treacherous and you'll be able to see many local bodyboarders trying to ride through the barrels that the waves form when they crash on the shore. This beach is for experts only. Great photo opportunities!

On your way back to Waikiki, your tour guide will show you Kahala, the Beverly Hills of Oahu. It's where Hawaii's millionaires have their multi-million dollar mansions, surrounded by meticulously manicured, tropical gardens.

I took this tour in April, and I couldn't believe that this part of the island was so close to Waikiki because it is so different! It's really secluded and the views are gorgeous with the beaches and the mountains side-by-side. The tour guide knew a lot about the area, too.

Our guide Greg kept us very engaged throughout the whole tour. We were completely interested in his narration for the whole time that we were going around the whole island. I really loved this tour!

Our guide Jeff had an extensive knowledge of the island. We also got to stop at a variety of places. Jeff was very genuine. We appreciated that he did not force this �are you having a good time� nonsense that other tours have.

Our guide Kanoe was very funny and charming. She gave us a lot of local history and information. She gave us a lot of wonderful recommendations on what to see and do while we were on vacation. The tour that she gave us was wonderful and I highly recommend her as a guide.

The guide that we had for our tour was incredibly knowledgeable about every possible aspect of Hawaii. He had an incredible sense of humor, everyone on the bus was laughing at his jokes.

My tour was informative and I had a good time. I want to post a comment on Trip Advisor so I can tell everyone how wonderful this company is. I thought the tour was paced really well and not rushed. I am a guide in San Francisco and I really enjoyed myself on this tour. I enjoyed the fact that Discover Hawaii Tours is a smaller company that has smaller tours.
