Your convenient and easy tour will begin with a narration delivered by your expert guide. This narration will document the events that led up to the Pearl Harbor attacks on December 7th, 1941, as well as set the tone for your Arizona tour. Once arriving at the Arizona visitor’s center, you will head into the theatre to view actual footage of the Pearl Harbor attacks. From there, you will board the Navy shuttle boat and ride through the harbor to the renowned USS Arizona Memorial.
Standing overtop of the sunken USS Arizona Battleship, the memorial building is an incredible work of architecture that pays homage to the over 1,100 lives lost on the day of the attacks. While there, make sure to take a look at the back shrine room and read the names of the deceased etched on its marble wall. And of course, be sure to peer down at the sunken battleship and see the oil still leaking from the vessel, commonly referred to as the "Black Tears of the Arizona".
After visiting the USS Arizona Memorial Building, you will travel back to the visitor’s center for a chance to look around at the gift shop and the WWII museum. Then, you will meet back up with your guide and board the bus for a tour of historical Honolulu. Your guide will take you on a drive through Punchbowl National Cemetery of the Pacific. And you will also visit notable city locations including the Iolani Palace, King Kamehameha Statue, and Hawaii State Capitol building.
