Our “Reign of Fire'' experience is not just a ''tour'' but a journey
that takes you to the birth of our ''Island Paradise'', our volcanoes.
This excursion will take you from the shores of Historic Hilo Town
nestled between the slopes of Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea, to the mystic
Rainbow Falls before venturing on to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and
Kilauea Volcano. At Kilauea, we will escort you on an easy one mile
nature walk to Pu'u Hulu and Mauna Ulu into the garden of Pele, the
goddess of volcanoes. Amazement awaits you as you experience the power
and beauty of nature of this fiery volcano and its mesmerizing volcano
flow.
Explore a massive ''lava tube'', unusual lava formations and “lava-tree
molds”, and walk through a pristine rainforest with rare flora and
fauna. You will continue on to the great Ku’u Desert, see Punaulu’u’s
black sand beach and green sea turtles. See the quaint towns on Kona’s
Gold Coast, and massive Kona Coffee Plantations. Arriving in Kilua-Kona
you’ll continue down scenie Ali’I Drive and on to see Hulilhe’e Royal
Palace.

Tour Notes
We do not guarantee the
viewing of active lava flow. Often hiking over rough, uneven, lava
surfaces is required to view lava. Volcanic fumes (VOG) are hazardous to
your health. Persons with breathing and heart difficulties, pregnant
women, infants, and young children are especially at risk should not
consider the Reign of Fire Tour 31W to avoid potential health problems
from exposure to fumes. All passengers are required to sign a release of
liability form. Sturdy, covered walking shoes are recommended.
In order to be in compliance with FAA regulations we require the full
names of all persons on tour with air transportation. This name must be
exactly as it appears on your valid, government-issued photo
identification. Air carriers will deny boarding if the passenger name,
as shown does not match name on air ticket. If passenger is denied
boarding due to non-compliance with this requirement there will be no
refund.
